Speech is silver, influence is gold
Ensuring people listen carefully to you in a conversation or meeting. Successful negotiation. Giving solid feedback while maintaining the relationship. Not everyone is born with the communication skills needed for this.
It is difficult to learn these skills yourself. The safety you need to practice is often lacking on the work floor. In addition, communication patterns are often too unconscious and persistent to successfully tackle with books, the internet or group training.
Solid resource to take back control
With a personal communication training at Coaching Rotterdam you will succeed. In the communication training you learn to influence your (working) environment effectively and ethically, in a way that matches your own strength and identity.
Was your communication first an obstacle on the way to your goals? Now your communication skills will be a solid resource to take control of your work and life. To get better (work) relationships, and achieve your goals.
Frequently asked questions about communication training
How does a communication training at Coaching Rotterdam work?
We'll discuss your request for help first. Then we examine your beliefs, underlying patterns, and (underlying) causes. Then we look at desired beliefs and desired behaviour. You will then practice with that. You will do this during the communication training itself, but you will also get 'home' work for the work floor.
What are the advantages of communication coach Marco Tieleman at Coaching Rotterdam?
With 2 x the highest coaching certification you can get in the Netherlands, I can coach you very effectively. As a communication coach I do that with humor and spirit, in a safe atmosphere, in which I am sincerely involved. You learn how your unconscious brain works, discover which communication models help you, and get all the tools you need to be permanently equipped for challenging situations.
Why are beliefs so important in communication training?
There's often a conviction underneath your behaviour. "My ideas aren't good enough." Or, "There's only one way, and that's mine." Or: "When I say what I want, my colleague/boss gets angry." By substituting realistic, helping beliefs for this, new behaviour does not become a trick, but a logical consequence of your new attitude in situations.
How long does communication training take?
This depends on the complexity of your help request, and how quickly you are able to apply new insights and behaviour. Most of the professionals I coach have achieved their goals in 3 or 4 conversations: To be able to do their work in a relaxed and self-assured manner, to have a better relationship with colleagues, and finally to take room for their own ideas and needs.
How others grew...
"into the depths, if that's what you want."
What are we gonna do today? That's the first question you get at every appointment. Why is that? Because you're the determining factor. What do you want to work on? That means you really have to work on it yourself. Marco is very competent and really goes for it. He goes into depth, if that's what you want. Marco takes education seriously and is enormously interested in people and their motives. You are in a safe environment, you can say anything and feel seen and touched. I warmly recommend Marco.
"Mirror on thoughts and feelings"
It struck me (already in the first conversation) that Marco, mainly by mirroring my thoughts and feelings, could give me insight into my most important questions and choices of that moment.
A good coach has a lot of luggage in the form of insights, advice and useful tips. The difficulty is often to give for that one specific situation at that one moment only that one, that very best tip. The one that really hits home and that you can work with, right at that moment. That requires a lot of insight, listening, observing, a short question or remark at the right moment, that requires... Fingerspitzengefühl.
Thanks for your excellent advice Marco.
